Victoria Leigh Williams

Elementary Student of the Year
Region 1

Victoria is the eleven year old daughter of Sammie and Darlene Williams of Florien. She strives to make good grades and has maintained a 4.0 average throughout her years at Florien Elementary. She has many hobbies, but her all-time favorite is reading and Louisa May Alcott is her favorite author. She has been a member of the Pizzaz Dance Team for 8 years where she studies tap, jazz, and ballet.

She is currently FES 4-H Vice-President, a Peer Leader, and a student office worker. Victoria has the won the grade-level spelling bee at Florien Elementary for the past four years and has competed in Shreveport at the regional competition. She performs throughout the parish, state, and southern region with her dance group at nursing homes, civic functions,and competitions. Victoria is honored to represent Sabine Parish and eagerly awaits the state competition to be held, Wednesday, April 22 in Baton Rouge.

Quote: "It is hard when people ask you what you want to be when you grow up. I would like to go to college and be the President of a book company. I am not really sure though. I am just going to continue studying and making good grades for now. If I do that, I can be anything I want to be."
