The Sabine Parish School Board is currently accepting applications for the following teaching position:

Many High School - English/Language Arts, Math, Science or Social Studies certification on the secondary level with the possibility of coaching.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Must meet or exceed the requirements as set forth by Bulletin 746, Revised.  (Teacher certification levels 1, 2, 3 or A, B, C)

  • Alternatives to the state requirements as the Sabine Parish School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

    Qualifications and requirements:

    • High school diploma or a GED

    • Valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a higher credential

    • Complete three hours of college courses per academic year toward an Associate Degree in Early Childhood

Practitioner Teacher Program Northwestern State University will offer the  Practitioner Teacher Program this summer for those who are eligible to seek teacher certification via an alternate track. Applications are currently being taken for the classes beginning in June. Applicants are encouraged to apply ASAP to assure their acceptance into the program.  Information about the program and the application process may be viewed on the PK16 website.
