Frequently Asked Questions

Training Registration and Evaluation System (TRES) Registration

1.  Why should I sign up for professional development this way?

This registration format is Sabine's method of managing and tracking all professional development that the district provides. All programs associated with federal and state funds have strict requirements for maintaining complete PD documentation. TRES provides means for tracking CLUs, making sign-in sheets, session evaluations, funding, etc.  In the event that you do not need your CLUs tracked, you must still sign up for all workshops in this manner.

2..  Where can I get the user name and password?

Your user name and password was given to your principal in early April.  It is unique to TRES and was provided to the staff that have network  accounts.  (If you do not have a network account, contact Beci 256-9228 ext 240 to set up a time to take the proficiency test.)  If you have lost your password, or have questions regarding TRES please contact Joan May at 256-9228 ext 235 or by email.

3.  I've logged on.  Now what do I do?

If you know the event code, enter it.  To see all the events, click on "sign up for event announcements".   If the workshop that you wish to register for is not shown, click on MORE-- A calendar appears - change the month of the calendar and then click set. Other workshops that have been scheduled for that month will be shown. (For more information click on the link)

4.  How do I register for the workshop that I wish to attend?

Click on the event name to find out more about the event including location, time, and other important information.  Click on "Sign up for the event".  A pop up box asks " Do you want to sign up for the event?"  After answering affirmatively, your name will appear in the participant list with registration time, approval status and a pair of scissors.  In the event that you decide that you need to be removed from the list, click on the scissors. The red question mark will change to a green check when the moderator approves your registration.

If a workshop has been filled, you can still register for it and be put on a waiting list.  Also look for a session at a different time.

5.  What must I do when the workshop is completed?

After a workshop has been completed, you must log on and fill out the evaluation for that session.  This allows the moderator to print certificates for the professional development. If your workshop doesn't show up in the schedule, click on "more" at the bottom and change the month on the calendar.  Click on your event to find your name; click on "evaluate this event" (at the bottom of the page); and fill the evaluation out.
